WILLIAM HABERMAN

William Haberman is currently Managing Member and President of two resort residential development projects: Thistle Golf Estates in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, a 400-acre resort and resort residential development that includes a 27-hole championship golf course and 122 remaining residential homesites; and, The Idaho Club in Sandpoint, Idaho, a 900-acre resort residential development that includes an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and 215 remaining residential homesites.  In both cases, he is responsible for the management of all horizontal and vertical development activities through completion and sale of the remaining residential lots, as well as all financial and legal matters related to the acquisition, completion and operation of the projects. The aggregate gross revenues from these two projects is expected to exceed $100 million.

Mr. Haberman also recently acted as a financial advisor on Splitsville Luxury Lanes, a $15 million luxury bowling and entertainment venue located at Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida, and Nona Blue Modern Tavern, an upscale restaurant in partnership with PGA Professional, Graeme McDowell, located in Orlando, Florida, with a second location in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Mr. Haberman has extensive experience in development, structured finance and acquisitions of all types of commercial real estate. In various roles, he has been involved in the development, origination, underwriting and/or closing of more than $1 billion in aggregate commercial real estate transactions.

Previously, Mr. Haberman served as a Principal, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Member of Mona Lisa Development (“Mona Lisa”), which developed Mona Lisa at Celebration, now Meliá Orlando Suite Hotel, a $70 million 240-unit luxury condominium hotel located in Celebration, Florida, an award-winning new urbanism master planned community developed by Disney’s Celebration Company.


Prior to Mona Lisa, Mr. Haberman was an officer with Commercial Net Lease Realty, Inc. (“CNLR”) where he was primarily responsible for acquisitions as well as its mezzanine debt and B-note program. Highlights included the origination and closing of the largest single asset acquisition in the history of the company, the $171 million acquisition from the MCI Worldcom bankruptcy of the TSA Headquarters located in Pentagon City, Virginia, and the negotiation and placement of $95 million in senior securitized debt.

Prior to joining CNLR, Mr. Haberman was responsible for the origination and structuring of over $500 million in senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity secured by commercial real estate with such industry leaders as JP Morgan, FINOVA and MassMutual. Before pursuing real estate investment banking, he practiced commercial real estate law at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick.

Mr. Haberman graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Albion College, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan. He is currently a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida.
